About Madhubala – Ek Ishq Ek Junoon

The story begins in the rustic town of Motihari in the interiors of Bihar. The scene then shifts to a pregnant lady running away from her husband because he threatens to kill here and her child as well if she gives birth to a girl. Perceiving the danger, she flees from her husband’s goons to Mumbai and finds herself in the midst of a film set. She meets Roma - a TV actress working there and starts living with her. Roma insists her to work along with her. Although she denies initially, as series of incidents compel her to join the film industry. Once while film set, she gives birth to Madhubala, the show’s protagonist, essayed by Drashti. Born literally in the lap of the film industry, Madhubala is forced to be a part of showbiz, whether she likes it or not.
