Devoleena Bhattacharjee Replaces Giaa Maanek in Star Plus Saath Nibhana Saathiya

Giaa Maanek who plays the main female lead role of Gopi Bahu in Star Plus “Saath Nibhana Saathiya“ was replaced by Devoleena Bhattacharjee. Yes, TV actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee has bagged the lead role in Star Plus popular daily soap Saath Nibhana Saathiya.

Giaa Maanek who has became a house hold name of Gopi Bahu with his simplicity in Star Plus Saath Nibhana Saathiya is now not be the part of this serial. From today, viewers will see a new face essaying the role of ‘Gopi Bahu‘. Beautiful and petite actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee who was last seen in Imagine TV’s Sawaare Sabke Sapne Preeto as Baani will be replacing Giaa in the show. She has already started shooting and will be seen in today’s episode.

Giaa was recently in news for her ongoing war with the channel as she is participating in a reality show on a rival channel. Giaa who was playing Gopi in the serial was shown the door because of her unprofessional attitude.
Saath Nibhana Saathiya is a serial set in a Gujarati family background. It is based on the saas-bahu(mother-in-law and daughter-in-law) relationship, retold through the point of view of a young and naive woman, Gopi. It is the story of Gopi and Rashi, who are cousins. It begins with Kokila Modi’s search for the perfect wife for her son, Ahem. She wants a naive young woman for her son. She finds that Gopi will make the perfect daughter-in-law for her and a dutiful wife for Ahem.

With Devoleena’s entry, it will be interesting to see whether the show gets a spike in ratings or slumps down in the TRP ladder. We are putting up an exclusive picture of Devoleena dressed as Giaa Maanek.
