The wait for over 5.6 lakh engineering aspirants who took the IIT-JEE on April 8th, 2012 was over today, as the results for the most prestigious engineering entrance exams was announced. IIT-JEE 2012 results was declared on Friday Morning (May 18th, 2012). Candidates will get to know their All India Ranks (AIR)/Category Ranks through IIT-JEE 2012 websites/SMS/IVRS on or after May 18, 2012. All the candidates can check the results IIT-JEE result through the website jee.iitm.ac.in. This year more than 5.6 lakh students had appeared for the IIT-JEE across 1,067 centres. Successful candidates, based on their ranking, will be eligible for admission to nearly 9,600 undergraduate seats in the 15 IITs. Admission would be granted based on the All India Rank, category rank, and the choices submitted by candidates at the time of counselling. Candidates who clear IIT-JEE 2012 will have to submit a physical fitness certificate before admission.
