Telugu heartthrob Ram Charan Teja tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart Upasana Kamineni today at a glittering ceremony in Hyderabad on Thursday morning. Many big celebrities like Tamil superstar Rajinikanth, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, and South Indian actors Mohan Babu, Ambreesh, Venkatesh, and Suhasini Mani Ratnam attended the Ram Charan-Upasana wedding. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, Tamil Nadu’s Governor Konijeti Rosaiah and actor Jr NTR were among the first arrivals. A wedding reception will also be held on Thursday evening. Ram Charan has also organized a fans reception on Friday June 15, 2012.

Upasana & Ram Charan wedding outfit was designed by great designer Tarun Tahiliani. Upasana wore a sheathed yellow and gold South India silk sari, which have a Swarovski encrusted border done with zardosi French knots and a sprinkle of tiny soldered stones. Along with it, she wear a rani pink zardosi corset blouse and a rani pink tulle veil. Ram Charan Teja wore a coordinated dhoti paired with a fine chikan kurta and stole.

Hours before the wedding the actor tweeted his excitement:

“Will be entering into a new life in couple of hours. really excited and need all ur blessings. Love u all.”

Ram Charan’s Zanjeer co-star Priyanka Chopra was the first one to congratulate the couple:

“Congratulations to my favourite Chiranjeevi sir!! Naach gaana full on in Hydrabad!!! Here’s wishing a very happy married life to my Zanjeer co actor Ram Charan and his beautiful better half Upasana!wish I cud have been there!”

Upasana, granddaughter of Prathap C Reddy, founder-chairman of Apollo Hospitals, and Ram Charan got engaged in December last year. The 22 year old Upasna Kamineni is currently the Vice President, Apollo Chairty & Editor of B Positive, Lifetime WellnessRx International Limited, Apollo Group of Hospitals.
