Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) invites applications from Indian Nationals for Indian Forest Service (IFS) Examination 2013. UPSC will hold the IFS Examination 2013 for recruitment to the Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 26th May 2013. Interested & eligible candidates can apply ONLINE in a prescribed format before 04th April 2013. The complete details of the recruitment is given below.
UPSC IFS ELIGIBLITY CRITERIA
Age Limit : Between 21 years to 30 years as on 1st August 2013.
Educational Qualification : Bachelor’s degree of any recognised university with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Forestry or in Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
Number of Attempts : The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible, will be as :
General Category – 4 attempts,
OBC – 7 attempts,
SC/ST – No limit
Application Fee : All GENERAL / OBC candidates applying are required to pay a fee of Rs. 100/- either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net bankingfacility of SBI, State Bank of Bikaner & Jaipur/ State Bank of Hyderabad/ State Bank of Mysore/ State Bank of Patiala/ State Bank of Travancore or by using Visa/ Master Credit/ Debit card. No fees for Female/SC/ST/PH candidates.
